Samuel Calvin Pierce

SAMUEL CALVIN PIERCE, 75, resident of Deming passed away Wednesday April 10, 2024 at his home.

Visitation will be Friday morning, April 19, 2024 at 9 o’clock at Baca’s Funeral Chapel where funeral services will begin at 10 o’clock with Rev. Dr. Reggie Price officiating.  Concluding services with honors accorded will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

Samuel was born July 16, 1948 in Deming to Samuel C. and Nevolyn (Sparks) Pierce.  He grew up in Deming and graduated from Deming High School.  He later entered the United States Army in December 1968.  SSG Samuel Calvin Pierce served his country for 11 years.  His primary occupation was an Aviation Mechanic and Quality Control Supervisor.

Samuel is survived by his children, Steve Pierce, Thomas Pierce, Mark Pierce and Loura Sue Epps; brothers Ronnie Pierce and Alvin Jay Pierce; sister Debra JoAnn Green.  He has 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steve, Thomas, and Mark Pierce, Matt Pulis, Sergio Beltran and Christopher Almanza.
