Life Legacy
Ernest Patrick King, 52, entered eternal rest on Thursday November 10, 2011 in Hobbs, NM. He was born in Deming, NM on September 28, 1959 to Martha Jane Temple and Lucky King. He has been a lifetime roofer. He was the owner of King’s Pride Roofing in Tucson, AZ where he resided for 22 years before venturing through New Mexico and Oregon.
Ernest loved to travel and be outdoors. He was a member of Choose Life Church and St. Helena’s where he would volunteer his time. He was a great carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. He could build almost anything. His interests included spending time with his family, hiking, astronomy, fishing, camping, watching professional sports, and golfing. He was the guy whose laugh would fill a room and whose smile you could not forget. He was a very generous man that was adored by his family and friends. Those who had the chance to be a part of his life will always remember him.
He is survived by his son Ernest King Jr. and wife Angie and their six children; Daughter Lisa Marie Perry and her three children; 6 sisters, Debra Garcia of Deming, Rosalie and husband Greg Valdespino of Deming; Cynthia and husband Benny Nevarez of Las Cruces; Anna and husband Emeterio Flores of Angleton, TX; Sonya Puente of Hobbs, NM; Margret Ann and husband Steven Mejorado of Hobbs, NM; brother; Edward King and his wife Loretta of Hobbs NM; aunt, Margret Bishop of Denton, TX and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother Martha Jane Temple, his father Lucky King, his grandmother Maria Sedillo, uncle Pete Medran, and his two infant sisters.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held in at Baca’s Funeral Chapel at 10am Tuesday November 15, 2011.
