Barbara (Marquez) Gamez

Barbara Marquez Gamez, age 54, a resident of Las Cruces, NM entered eternal rest Saturday August 4^th, 2018 in El Paso, TX surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 26^th, 1964 in Silver City, NM to Lumina Gonzalez Marquez and Ynez Uerena Marquez. She grew up in Grant County, New Mexico and graduated from Cobre High School in Bayard, NM. Later in life she moved to Las Cruces, NM where she was a Homemaker and a member of The Roman Catholic Church. She was a friend to everyone she met and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include Husband- Martin Gamez of Las Cruces, NM, Son- Eric Marquez Gamez and wife Veronica and Granddaughters- Anastasia “Ana” Gamez, Gabriella Elwell, Sophia Gamez of Albuquerque, NM. Two brothers- Charlie”Carlos” Marquez and wife Bertha of Las Cruces, NM and Ricky Marquez of Silver City, NM. Two sisters Priscilla Marquez of Bayard, NM and Teresa “Terry” Mota and husband Jose of San Manuel, AZ, other survivors include several Aunts and Uncles and Nieces and Nephews and numerous cousins.

Cremation has taken place in El Paso, TX and Funeral Mass will take place at Baca’s Funeral Chapels of Silver City, NM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at nine-thirty in the morning. The Rite of Committal and Innurment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City, NM. where her ashes will be laid to rest. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels of Silver City, NM 3805 Delk Dr. (575) 388-2334.
