Christina Marie Krol, 61, of Deming, New Mexico, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. She reunited with her husband, Steve Krol, who passed away in 2014.
Christina was born on November 29, 1956, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Mary Edalee Connell and Ronald Massingale. The Massingale family relocated to Deming, New Mexico, in 1973.
Being athletic, Christina attended Western New Mexico University in Silver City on a swimming scholarship. She married the love of her life, Steve Krol, in 1974, and they had four children. She was an avid cook. Being most remembered for her dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, and gravy. These are commonly thought of as basic staples at the dinner table, but had her own way of making them extra special. She supported her husband in all of his endeavors. Most recently, Christina managed the family ranch and business after his passing. In her spare time, she was an active member of the Moose Lodge. Her memory will live on through her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Angela, Mariah, and Jeffrey Krol; grandchildren, Crystal Osollo, Charles and Annabelle Griffin, Felecity, Daran, and Addison Krol, and Caleb Keeler; one great-grandson, Daniel Jesus Duran; siblings; Roger Massingale, Rhonda Scott, Jerry Greer, Michael Massingale; numerous nieces and nephews; and, her supportive partner, William Franklin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve; son, Anthony; father, Ronald; mother, Mary Edalee; and, her brother, William Edward.
Services were held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. A brunch was held at the family ranch after the service. Entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels.
