Daniel LeRoy "Doc" Holladay

Daniel LeRoy “Doc” Holladay, 56, of Silver City passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapels in Silver City.  Officiating will be his family.

Daniel was born on December 20, 1961 to James Daniel Holladay and Marvel Marlene Law in Leadville, Colorado.  He enjoyed being in the mountains, fishing, camping, hunting and hiking.  Daniel collected Bugs Bunny memorabilia and was known by his friends and family as “Doc” or “Hilly Billy Holladay”. 

“Doc” was a very loving and caring man that did anything he could to help others.  You could always guarantee him to be joking with his crazy, contagious laughter and expect him to have his best friend “Sam the Man” right by his side everywhere he went.  He was truly one of a kind.  We will all miss you Uncle Doc.

“Doc is survived by his canine best friend “Sam the Man”; brother, Kenny Holladay; sisters, Debbie Colcleasure, Vivian Arellin (James), Cynthia Holladay (Tony) and Linda Holladay (Tom); nephews, Kenneth, Jeremiah, David, Anthony, Travis and Paul; nieces, Samantha, Jennifer, Sarah, Alyssa and Crysta; seven great-nephews, and nine great-nieces as well as many great friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Donald Colcleasure.
