Estella Jimenez Guerrero

ESTELLA JIMENEZ GUERRERO, 89, a longtime resident of Lordsburg passed away Tuesday August 27, 2019 at La Posada in Las Cruces.

Visitation will be Tuesday September 3, 2019 at 9 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where a rosary will begin at 10 o’clock led by Alice Ramirez.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 o’clock with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating.  Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Estella was born at the McGee Mines on June 11, 1930 to Felix Jimenez Sr. and Antonia Mendez Jimenez.  She and her family lived at Gary for some time before eventually moving in to Lordsburg.  She was a clerk at the Greyhound Bus Station in Lordsburg for 26 years and had also worked a short time at the Lordsburg Café.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Estella is survived by her husband Luciano Guerrero of Lordsburg; sister Isabel Tarango of Las Cruces; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Felix Jr., Apolonio and Antonio Jimenez and 2 sisters, Dolores Contreras and Carmen Acosta.

Pallbearers will be Michael Tarango, Tyler Bingham, Felix Jimenez IV, Joey Tarango, Noah Perez and Albert Jimenez.
