Frank G. Carbajal

Frank Gomez Carbajal, 82 of Bayard passed away December 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard where the Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30.  Concluding service and burial will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery. 

Frank was born November 16, 1937 in Silver City to Pedro and Angelita (Gomez) Carbajal.  He was a member and active at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  Frank worked many different jobs around Grant County including, U.V. Industries, Sharon Steel and had retired from Phelps Dodge.  Many people knew him from the Hide-away Bar where he worked as a bartender.  Frank loved being in the outdoors with his family, especially hunting, fishing and camping.  He will definitely be missed by all his family and those who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife Jean Carbajal; two sons, Frank Carbajal Jr and David Carbajal (Barbara); three daughters, Lisa Gomez (Sam), Stephanie Fuentes (Hector Valdez, Jr), and Amanda Ortega; two brothers, Ray Carbajal and Felix Carbajal; one sister, Angie Carbajal.  Also surviving Frank are 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
