Frank Wright Sr. 82 of Hurley, NM passed away October 6, 2019 at his residence with his son beside him.
Frank was born February 23, 1937 in Lordsburg, NM to John and Iva Wright. Frank was an electrician by trade and a true cowboy by heart, having been cowboying on ranches beside his dad, he learned from the best. Frank was an electrician foreman at the smelter until his retirement. Frank and his wife Carolyn were married for 46 years at the time of her death. They were companions in camping, fishing and hunting. She was the love of his life and he was hers.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank, Jr., daughter, Sandra, grandsons Clint (Christa) and David Hardesty and five great-grandchildren, his sisters Irma DeFausell and Linda Carr and brother-in-law Bob Carr who had to call him “Sir” for two and one-half months out of the year because those two and one-half months he was older than Bob. He has nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Frank. His cousin John Wright who was his partner in crime from childhood and on, as well as many other special cousins. Frank had many friends and two very close friends, Art Garcia and Thurman Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, in-laws Earl and Ruth Lett and brother in-laws, James Lett, James Coryell, Jack DeFausell and many friends.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. The Funeral Service will follow at 10 am with Pastor Duane Gray officiating. Concluding service and burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Hardesty, Russell Coryell, Charles Wesley White, Don Carr, Michael White, and Jesse Jackson. .
