Gary Michael Elkins

Gary Michael Elkins, 69, resident of Animas passed away Tuesday September 17, 2019 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 28, 2019 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Animas Baptist Church in Animas. There will be a potluck to follow. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Gary was born December 9, 1949 to Melvin Elkins and Patricia McNally in Bisbee, Arizona. He served his county honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Naomi of the home; 3 daughters, Melanie Dawn (Bryan) Meador of Aztec, NM, Teresa Lynn (Vince) Polanco of Las Cruces, NM and Cynthia Ruth (Robert) Brewer; 1 brother, Byron (Lynn) Elkins of Bisbee, AZ; 1 sister in law, Martha Elkins of Bisbee, AZ; 12 grandchildren, Jordan, Marcus, Brian, Brittany, Cassie, Daisha, David, Trish, Ladonna, Bryanna, Donavan and Trevan; 8 great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jaxon, Ethan, Tina, Dayna, J.C., Monique and Landon.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Melvin and Patricia Elkins, as well as one brother, Jimmy Elkins.
