Janine Tyler

Janine Tyler, 64, of Silver City passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her residence.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at two o’clock in the afternoon at the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2415 Pinos Altos Road in Silver City.  Officiating will be Brother Jose O. Madrid.

Janine was born on September 11, 1953  to John Tyler and Janice Weyant in Binghamton, New York. She came to Silver City forty years ago from upstate New York.  Janine was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and volunteered for more than forty years in the religious ministry.  She also volunteered for a number of years at the local food pantry.  When her health allowed it, Janine enjoyed walking, hiking, fishing, cycling, gardening and eating healthy.  She also had a great sense of humor.  Janine will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janine is survived by her son, Jonathan David Salvatore Torrisi of Silver City; two grandchildren, Arianna and Pierce of the East Coast; one great-uncle; two great-aunts; two nephews and two nieces and multiple cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Janice M. Tyler; daughter, Rachel Torrisi Sierra; brothers, John C. Tyler, Gary Tyler, Benjamin Tyler; sister, Janice Halpin; two nephews and two nieces.
