Jewell Ruth Jones Derrick, 90 years old, passed away September 3, 2019 in Silver City, NM.
A Memorial Service will be held in Luna at the LDS church Monday, September 9th starting at 10:00a.m. A graveside service will be held in Reserve at the Reserve Cemetery with a meal following at the Reserve Community Center.
She was born in Tonto Basin, AZ April 26, 1929 to John Albert and Beulah Finch. Jewell loved her family most in her life. She was always there when someone needed her not only in her family but in her community of Reserve as well. One of her favorite things to do was work out in her flower beds and vegetable garden.
Jewell was preceded in death by her first husband Sidney F. Jones, her second husband Chris Derrick and her two sons Lawrence Jones and Sidney David Jones (Tuffy). She is survived by her daughter Zoe Ann Jones, grandsons Garrett Porter, Sidney Lewis Jones, Will Jones, her granddaughters, Sally Burbridge, Amy Gifford, Katie Romero, Leisil Luera, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
