Josefina Ramirez (Jurado) Jurado

Josefina “Josie” Ramirez Jurado, 80, Deming resident passed away Sunday April 22, 2018 at the Silver City Care Center.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with a rosary to follow at 6 o’clock led by Suzanne Lundy.  Mass of the Christian Burial will take place Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 10 o’clock at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Francisco Diaz officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Josefina “Josie” was born February 16, 1938 to Eugenia Ramirez and Jose Jurado at Mesilla Park, New Mexico.  She worked for Deming Electronics for many years before retiring.  Josefina loved to crochet and read.  She was a communicant of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church where she was very active in Church work for many years.

She is survived by siblings, Marcelina Beer of Larned, Kansas, Emilio Jurado and wife Delia, Socorro Jurado and wife Margaret all of Deming; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Preceded in death by parents, Jose and Eugenia Jurado; siblings, Doroteo, Isabel, Joe, Rafael and Adelaida Jurado.

Serving as pallbearers are Ralph Jurado, Jaime Jurado, Oscar Jurado, Deanna Jurado, Socorro Jurado and Ruben Kelly.
