Limena Martinez

Limeña A Martinez, 42, of Silver City passed away January 7, 2019 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  A celebration of Limeña’s  life will take place at 10 am on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels.

Limeña was born on July 30, 1976 in Silver City.  She was the adorable daughter of her father, Arthur Martinez and mother, Barbara Lopez Martinez.  Limeña loved her children and her family and was happy to be surrounded by many other wonderful and extended family members.  To know Limeña, was to love, admire, befriend and want to be near her.  She was a shining and kind example to all who came to know her.  Constantly revealing a wide and becoming smile, she was always such an easy-going and welcoming person toward others and ready to help people who were in need at anytime.  Limeña had no hesitation to provide food or whatever, not only to family and friends, but also to others as well.  She loved to cook and share her great meals.  Limeña was both helpful and protective of others, and had a deep faith in them.  Indeed, she was well liked by many folks in our local communities (“her open, caring, and joyful personality would cheer us up right of way, we liked her very much!”).  She was a smart, very intelligent, always reading and also enjoyed drawing and coloring pictures.  Limena also loved caring for animals…and it was mutual, in fact she had four happy cats living in her home.  We could go on and on with informing others about our outstanding daughter, sister, mother of four children and part of a large extended family.  Yes, to know Limeña, was to Love her!  She will always live in our hearts and memories!

Limeña is survived by three sons, Frankie Morales and his fiancé Ashley, their children, James, Xaydin, Sergio, and Imani; Benito  Sierra, and Bryan Sierra Jr.; one daughter, Jade Sierra;  her parents, Arthur and Barbara Ann Martinez ; one brother, Arthur D. Martinez, Jr.; two sisters, Asia Martinez Madrid and Charisma Nueva. Also surviving Limeña is her ex-husband Bryan Sierra, Sr.
