Linda Hopkins Obituary

It is with great sadness that I share the following:

Linda Kay Hopkins passed peacefully on May 1, 2019 in New Mexico.

Linda was born in Omaha, NE on April 20, 1957. She graduated from Ralston High School in 1975. Throughout her career, she worked as a cook and also drove a bus for the Omaha Public Schools.

She will be remembered for her love of vegetable gardening and camping. She liked to travel but really never wanted to be far from her family. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a kind, thoughtful and considerate person who enjoyed helping others.

She is survived by her partner Sharon Phillips, parents Ernie Hopkins (Jeanne), and Shirley Long (Boyd), sisters: Karen (Gary), Ellen, Laura (Allan) and brothers: Paul (Deb) and Michael (Terrie) and 18 nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels. A celebration of life to honor Linda will be held in Omaha at a later date. More details to follow.
