Linda Teran Obituary

Linda L Teran, 64 of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

At Linda’s request, cremation will take place and a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 1 pm at Baca’s Funeral Chapel.  Officiating will be Deacon Art Gutierrez.

Linda was born November 5, 1954 in T or C, New Mexico to Otto B. and Tiburcia “Gucha” Lucero.   Linda worked at Walmart for many years and she would light up a room with her smile and personality.  She didn’t care who you were, she accepted everyone, that was just how she was.  Family was everything to her.  Linda was a sports fanatic, anyone who knew her, knows that she was a ”Niner” fan, “Red and Gold to the Bone”; a Chicago Bulls fan, Michael Jordan and an Arizona Diamondback fan.  She would talk football to anyone and bet anyone, defending her team to the end.  Linda loved and was very proud of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was loved by many whether you knew her personally or on social media.  She definitely wore her heart on her sleeve and would give the shirt off her back, no questions asked, that’s just how she was.  Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.  She will truly be missed.

She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Racheal Rivera of Bayard and Lacey Carreon (Carlos) of Silver City and her two sons, Chris Garcia (Eleanor) of T or C, NM and Augie Teran Jr (Pam) of Alaska.   Linda was a great sister to her two sisters, Vita Guzman and Elisa Pinson as well as her three brothers, Mike Lucero, Jose “Doye” Lucero and Harold Lucero. She was the happiest when she was with her grandbabies, Stephanie (Michael), Diamond (Christian), Alix, Christopher, Oscar, Victoria, Brenda, Carlos Jr, Jaylee, Ruben, Navaeh, Christian, AJ, Joel, Raquel,  and Arianna (Walter), they would light up her world, and she was a typical grandmother, very protective. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Tiburcia, a sister Vita and two brothers, Harold and Doye as well as a grandson Elijah and a daughter Stephanie.
