Maria Teresa Barba

Maria Teresa Barba, 69, Deming resident passed away Saturday April 28, 2018 in Aurora, Colorado.

Visitation will begin at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, May 4, 2018, at Baca's Funeral Chapel where a prayer vigil will be held at 6 o'clock led by Jesus Barba. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday May 5, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 11 o'clock in the morning, Father Ron Machado, officiating. Inurnment of the cremains will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Maria Teresa was born August 15, 1948 to Enedina Varela and Pedro Barba in Puerto Palomas, Chihuahua, Mexico.  She had been a longtime resident of Deming having moved here from Palomas 40 years ago.

She is survived by a brother, Manuel Barba; 3 sisters, Lucia Montoya, Francisca and Guadalupe Barba and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents Pedro and Enedina Barba; 2 sisters, Maria Luisa Armendariz and Esperanza Barba; 3 brothers, Jesus, Ventura and Pedro Barba.
