Melody B. (Barrera) Murillo

MELODY B. MURILLO, 64, a lifelong Lordsburg resident passed away Saturday January 4, 2020 at her home with her family at her side.

Funeral services will be Friday January 10, 2020 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Pyramid Tabernacle with Pastor Alex De La Garza officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Melody was born July 12, 1955 in Lordsburg to Robert and Agnes (De La Garza) Barrera. She enjoyed being with her family and enjoyed reading, cooking and sewing. Melody was a member of Pyramid Tabernacle where she was a Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by her sons, Ruben Murillo and Jonathan Murillo (Elisabeth) of Lordsburg; daughters, Adrina Collins (John) and Melanie Murillo of Lordsburg; brothers, Robert Barrera of Lordsburg, Israel Barrera (Priscilla) of Billings, Montana; sisters, Naomi De La Garza and Raquel Montiel of Lordsburg; and 15 precious grandchildren who she adored. Melody was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Agnes Barrera.

Pallbearers will be DD Murillo, Adam Murillo, Ethan Murillo, Seth De La Garza, Aaron De La Garza, Aaron Barrera, Micah Montiel, Jonah Barrera and Levi Collins. Honorary bearers are Jacob Murillo, Eli Collins, Joshua Collins, and Noach Barrera.
