OSCAR MAGDALENO “OZZY” TARANGO, 16, passed away Sunday June 10, 2018 in Lordsburg.
Visitation will be Thursday June 21, 2018 at 5 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will begin at 6 o’clock led by Alice Ramirez. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday morning at 10 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.
Oscar was born July 1, 2001 in El Paso, Texas to Santiago G. and Esperanza (Barboza) Tarango. He has lived in Lordsburg most of his life and most recently he had just finished his Junior year at Rio Rancho High School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He enjoyed music and writing and always seemed to stay active and busy.
He is survived by his parents, Santiago G. Tarango Jr. and Esperanza Tarango of Lordsburg; brothers, Kenneth Abeyta (Nicole) of Las Vegas, NM and Santiago “James” Tarango (Christina) of Albuquerque; grandparents, Santiago O. Tarango Sr. and Angie Tarango of Lordsburg, Maria Ramona Barboza of Lordsburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Arredondo III, Anthony Madrid, Robert Holguin, Andrew Sanchez, Kenneth Abeyta Jr., and Darian Jarrott. Honorary bearers are Zackary Tarango, Jeremy Tarango, Tyler Garcia, Danny “Jama” Tarango, Tommy “Tucker” Sanchez, and Daniel Barboza.
