Pat M Grinie

Pat M. Grinie, 68, of Santa Clara passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 at nine o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  The Funeral Service will follow at ten in the morning with Pastor Joseph Gros officiating.  At Pat’s request, cremation will follow and has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels.

Pat was born on May 26, 1951 to Joe and Elvira (Moreno) Grinie in Lordsburg.  At a very young age his family moved to Santa Clara from Lordsburg.  Pat loved to go up to the mountains for weeks at a time to fish, hunt and live off the land making sure that he had his cherished coffee! When Pat wasn’t spending time camping he was spending time with his family and friends.  Pat worked and helped out his brother repairing and doing the body work on cars. Pat loved his Lord and was a born again Christian. He will definitely be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pat is survived by his brothers, Gilbert Grinie (Gloria) of Silver City and John Grinie of Tyler Texas; sisters, Elisa Kirker (Mario) of Santa Clara; Merlinda Hinojosa (Ernest) of Silver City and Ramona Bencomo (Felix) of Tucson, Arizona.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Toby and Mariano; three sisters, twin babies and Maria Elena Grinie.
