Santiago Roman Gamboa Jr., 33, went to his Father in Heaven on September 10, 2018. He passed away after battling a brief illness.
Santiago was an exceptionally selfless, kind, generous, hard-working and loving person. He was quick to defend others and has literally given the shirt off his back to someone he didn’t even know.
Santiago is survived by his mother, Bonnie Sanchez, step-father Avelino Sanchez; sisters, Nicole Chase and Victoria Bailey (Zachariah); step-brother, Adam Sanchez; brother in spirit, James Reyes; his aunt Dr. Vivian Clark and Uncle Ron Clark who was like a father to him, aunts Patsy Gamboa, Becky DeRoy and his uncle Luis Gamboa; his best friends, Reegan Walker-Perez and Christopher Charles Perez;also surviving him are numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many other beloved friends and co-workers.
Santiago’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the physicians, nurses, caregivers and staff at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City and Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces for their tireless efforts, loving and professional care and for treating Santiago and his family with the dignity and respect they deserved. We are eternally grateful for all you did to help him and our family. We would also like to thank the staff at Baca’s Funeral Chapels for their care, kindness and management; friends and staff at Wrangler’s Bar and Grill for his celebration of life and final send off. Santiago you will be forever missed until we meet again. Spread your love in Heaven, walk with God and be at peace.
