SOILA V. DE PAOLI, 92, a lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Sunday November 11, 2018 in the comfort of her home.
A prayer vigil will be Friday morning, November 16, 2018 at 10 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Alice Ramirez leading the rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 o’clock with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.
Soila was born June 27, 1926 in Lordsburg and has been very dedicated to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church all her life and was a member of the St. Joseph’s Choir for many years. She was also very active with the family business and had a special place in her heart for donating to those in need and supporting children’s health organizations. Soila’s family was first to her and always enjoyed family gatherings and an opportunity to see her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen Rosales of Tucson, AZ, David Rosales of Lordsburg, Louis Rosales (Luli) of Apache Junction, AZ, Marty Rosales (Frances) of Lordsburg, Q.T. DePaoli Jr. (Gloria) of Lordsburg; daughters, Rebecca Mejia of Tucson, AZ, Sally Hernandez (Joseph) of San Bernardino, CA, Sandra Ramirez (Daniel) of Albuquerque; 3 sisters, Frances Newell, Antonia Peru, and Juanie Gutierrez. Soila was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinto T. “Dutch” DePaoli, one son, Salvador Rosales Jr., granddaughter Stephanie Bustillos, and siblings Lupe, Simona, Julia, Rosie, Fenny and Carmelo.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Rosales Jr., Derrick DePaoli, Lucas Rosales, Kenny Newell, Joseph Hernandez, Marty Rosales Jr., Julian Ramirez, David Rosales Jr., and Michael Rosales Jr.
