Susie K Nash

Susie K. Nash, 100 years old, of Reserve, New Mexico was born September 23, 1918 to William and Susanna Kelly.  She passed restfully in her home on December 9, 2018.  Susie is survived by her daughter Connie Cordell, her son Morgan Cordell & wife Kristine and their children, and Whitney Cordell; son Greg Nash and his wife  Nancy, and his sons Garrett and Joe  Grant, and son-in-law Mike Ritz.  Susie was preceded in death by her husband George Nash, and her daughter Carol Ann Ritz.

Susie primarily taught third grade in Reserve for 43 years.  The many generations of students taught by Mrs. Nash knew her as a “disciplinarian who really knows how to teach”.  Over the years she won many awards for her teaching excellence.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Lower Frisco, NM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 am.  The Funeral Mass will immediately follow thereafter.  Concluding services and burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.    Officiating will be Father Anthony O. Dike.  Serving as pallbearers will be Barney Spurgeon, Zeno Kiehne, Samuel Gutierrez, Morgan Cordell, Joe Garrett Nash,  Joe Grant Nash and Stanley Radvillas.  Honorary pallbearers will be Janice Kiehne, Vestina Jaramillo, Mary Laine, Johnny Griffin, Linda Romero, Alice Estrada, Sue Spurgeon and all her former students.
