Ginny lived in Irving TX for the last 25 years. She graduated from Cobre High School in 1989 and was a starting short stop in three state championships with Cobre Softball. Ginny graduated from Western NM University in 1992 and played softball for the Mustangs, as well. She was described by others as a “great” softball player, an overall athlete, and an even better person. Being so bad, bold, and always trying to be a little bit wiser, she loved living in the big city of Dallas, TX with her loving cat Bunky. She enjoyed listening to music, going to kickboxing classes, and hanging out with friends when she could. She touched the lives of so many people and the memories of her will last forever. Sweet dreams, Ginny.

Ginny is survived by father Jesus F. Rodriguez and mother Carmen R. Rodriguez from Santa Clara, NM; Sister Margaret “Margie” R. Chip, and husband John Chip from Las Cruces; Nieces Jessica “Jica” Tarin and husband Curtis Tarin from Las Cruces and her special great nephew Dante Chip and great niece Bella Tarin; Katrina “Beaner” Chip and companion Matthew Ogaz from Castle Rock Colorado. She is also survived by her aunts Bertha Muniz & husband Felix, Lilley Arzola, Josie Gallardo, Stella Gutierrez, and many cousins.

Ginny was preceded in death by brother Paul R. Rodriguez, Grandparents Maria and Manuel Gutierrez, Luz and Pablo Rodriguez, and many aunts and uncles.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Chip, Curtis Tarin, Matthew Ogaz, Antonio Arzola Jr., Robbie Gallardo, T.J. Muniz.  Honorary pallbearers are Jessica Tarin, Katrina Chip, Dante Chip, Bella Tarin, Michael Gutierrez, Joshua Gutierrez, Chochi  Brown and Eddie Arzola.
