Albert Mario FioRito, 83, Deming resident entered eternal rest Monday, August 30, 2021 at the BeeHive Homes of Deming.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9 o’clock in the morning at Holy Family Catholic Church. Recitation of the holy rosary will be recited at 10 led by Lupe Hernandez. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Prakasham Babu, pastor will officiate.
Albert was born November 21, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts to Albert and Laura (Levandofsky) FioRito. He graduated from the College of Holy Cross and the University of Notre Dame with a Masters degree in economics. Albert served in the Army National Gard after completing his education, then worked in Corporate America for a number of years until his retirement. While living in New Jersey he enjoyed providing assistance to local farmers and was an avid horseback rider. He was also active in the church and spent many Saturday evenings as the caller at the church bingo. He found sewing and baking relaxing and was able to create many things. After retirement, he moved to New Mexico, where he volunteered as a volunteered as a literacy teacher and provided voluntary transportation to people undergoing cancer treatments. He was also an active member of the church, leading rosary’s and being a lector.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dolores; 3 children, Albert (Janet) FioRito of Three Bridges, NJ, Francis (Normon) Barnes of Leesburg, VA and Bernadette (Mark) Breese of Lebanon, NJ; a sister, Virginia Paletsky; 5 grandchildren, Normon, Nick and Natalie Barnes, Brittany and Becky Breese; as well as many extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Laura FioRito.
Serving as pallbearers will be Albert FioRito, Mark Breese, Eduardo Hernandez, Benito Salas, George Holguin and Nick Barnes.
