Albert Benjamin Padilla

Albert Benjamin Padilla, 73, a resident of Deming passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in Las Cruces, NM.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 4 to 6 o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6, which will be led by Irma Juarequi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 9 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. The rite of committal and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Francis Gyau, Pastor, will be officiating.

Albert was born February 1, 1952 in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Alberto Padilla and Guadalupe Luna. Albert was a good husband, father, and grandfather — a hardworking, dedicated, and responsible man. He worked as a truck driver for many years and loved eating hamburgers & fries. After retiring, he stayed busy by working on his trucks, collecting, and selling scrap metal like “Sanford & Sons” and watching WWE. He was devoted member of St. Ann’s, he attended church every week, always lending a hand to friends and the community and stayed active until his very last day with us. 

He is survived by his spouse, Rita Padilla; 4 children, Albert Padilla, Roberto Padilla, Roberta Hernandez, and Diana Orozco; 3 siblings, Louie (Joan) Salcido, Ruth Padilla, and Alicia Padilla; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. As well as many extended family members and friends.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents Alberto and Guadalupe Padilla; a daughter, Denise Padilla; a grandchild, Roberto Padilla; 3 siblings, Marylou Mendoza, Jacinto Salcido, and Raul Salcido.

Receiving the honor to serve as Albert’s pallbearers will be Jesus Rojo, Javier Estrada, Roberto Padilla, Jesus Gutierrez, Alvaro Orozco, and Martin Trevizo.

La visitacion sera el Miercoles, 18 de Junio del 2025, de 4 a 6 de la tarde en la Funeraria Baca’s con la recitacion del Santo Rosario a las 6 de la tarde, rezado por Irma Jaurequi. Misa de cuerpo presente sera el Jueves, 19 de Junio del 2025 a las 9 de la mañana en la Iglesia Catolica Santa Ana, una vez concluida la misa sera el entierro en el Cementerio Vista de la Montaña con el Padre Frances Gyau oficiando.

Albert nacio el 1ero de Febrero de 1952 en Santa Rita, NM, hijo de Guadalupe Luna y Alberto Padilla. Alberto era un buen esposo, padre y abuelo, un hombre trabajador, dedicado y responsable. Trabajo de troquero por muchos años, y le gustaba comer hamburguesas y papas fritas. Despues de retirarse se mantenia ocupado trabajando en sus trocas, colectando y vendiendo metal como “Sanford e Hijos” y viendo WWE. Era un miembro devoto de la Iglesia Catolica Santa Ana, donde atendia cada semana, el siempre le tendia una mano a quien lo necesitara, amigos o a la comunidad, y el se mantuvo activo hasta el ultimo dia.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Rita Padilla, 4 hijos; Albert Padilla, Roberto Padilla, Roberta Hernandez y Diana Orozco; 3 hermanos, Louie (Joan) Salcido, Ruth Padilla y Alicia Padilla; 7 nietos y 6 bisnietos. Al igual que familia extendida y amigos.

Alberto le preceden en la muerte sus padres Alberto y Guadalupe; una hija Denise Padilla, un nieto, Roberto Padilla, y 3 hermanos, Marylou Mendoza, Jacinto y Raul Salcido.

Los portadores seran Jesus Rojo, Javier Estrada, Roberto Padillla, Jesus Gutierrez, Alvaro Orozco y Martin Trevizo.
