Alice Sue Rowland, 80, long time resident of Hurley, N.M. was called home with the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family at the Gila Regional Medical Center.
Alice was born in Jackson, Missouri on December 2, 1940 to Velma Christine Murphy Bollinger and Arles Bollinger. Alice worked for Kennecott Copper Mines as a keypunch operator and a security guard. She later retired from the State of New Mexico Income Support Division.
She is survived by her two son’s Joel Rowland (Deborah); John Rowland; daughter Nicoli Tangate; six grandchildren, Joshua Rowland, Nathan Rowland, Amber Rowland, Brandon Rowland, Larissa Duran, Willow Powers; Twelve great grandchildrem, Arianna Womack, Jazlynn Diaz, Angel Diaz, Jaythan Diaz, Raiden Rowland, Ezmae Rowland, Katy Duran, Isbella Macintosh, Mia Moore, Arya Moore, Freya Moore, Eva Sue Moore; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Dorothy Wilson, Catherine Hill and one brother, Robert Bollinger.
Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Services for Alice will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels with Dr. Randel C. Widener/ Sr. Pastor with Ruidoso Downs First Baptist Church. In leu of flowers, donations are to made to a favorite charity in Alice’s name.
