Alicia R. Andrade went home to her Savior peacefully at her residence May 29, 2021 at the age of 95. Alicia was born January 19, 1926 in Santa Rita, NM to Jesus and Margarita Rivas. Alicia was known for her delicious biscochitos, sugar cookies and overall culinary skills. Alicia was married to Enrique (Henry) Andrade for 25 years. She was affectionally known as grandma Nena, Blanche and Wimpy.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Lopez and wife Rosemary of Bayard, NM, and Edward Sanchez and wife Mary Helen of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren, Elizabeth Camacho and husband Bellamy, Robert Lopez and companion, Vanessa, Edward Sanchez Jr. Six great grandchildren, Christopher Allen, Carter, Samantha and Pete Sanchez, Lia and Yan Min (their little grandma). She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique B. Andrade; her parents Jesus and Margarita; two sisters, Elvira Molina and Angelina Smalley; one brother, Chuy Rivas; two granddaughters, Maria Isabel and Carmen Elena Sanchez;
She had special place in her heart for Eddie Sanchez and Elizabeth Camacho, who were raised by grandpa Enrique and grandma Alice; the Marquez family, Ashton and Leah Dunlap, Everett Sherman and Jackie Guillaume; Gaby, Danielle, Michelle, Raidyn " Marachi", Ayzik, Ayisa; her maintenance man, PJ Marquez as well as her caregiver and special friend, Connie Parra.
Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 11 am on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Concluding service and burial will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.
