Alicia C. Valenzuela

Alicia C. Valenzuela, 70, Columbus resident passed away Friday May 21, 2021 at her home surround by her loving family.

A wake will take place Sunday May 23, 2021 at the family home beginning at 8 o’clock. The recitation of the rosary will be Monday May 24, 2021 at 2 o'clock at Holy Family Catholic Mission to be led by Maria Dolores Valenzuela.  Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Father Jesus Martinez will officiate.

Alicia was born December 28, 1950 to Maria del Perpetuo Socorro Ruiz and Donaciano Chavarria in San Luis del Cordero, Durango, Mexico. She was a homemaker and was a communicant of the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her mother, Maria del Perpetuo Socorro Ruiz; 4 sons, Tomas Valenzuela (Claudia Martinez) of Grants, Victor Manuel Valenzuela (Hortencia Bordillo) of Juarez, Javier Valenzuela (Margarita) of Juarez and  Jose Antonio Valenzuela (Maria del Consuelo) of Deming; 5 daughters, Esperanza Valenzuela (Juan Gonzalez) of Grants, Maria Dolores Valenzuela (Mauricio Soto) of Columbus, Veronica Sanchez (Adrian) of Grants, Laura Valenzuela (Allan Fernandez) of Grants and Jessica Valenzuela (Jose Luis Gonzalez) of Grants; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father, Donaciano Chavarria.
