Alvino Saborio Chacon

Alvino Saborio Chacon Sr., 82, of Silver City, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of August 11, 2023 surrounded by his family. 

Alvino was born June 6, 1941 to Ramon and Maria Chacon in Hurley, New Mexico.  He had worked in the laundry business doing dry cleaning.  When Alvino wasn’t working, he enjoyed listening to Spanish music and most of all spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia Chacon; nine children, Alvino Chacon Jr, Ray, Alvino, Dennis, Yvette, Ernie, Chris, Shawn Joe,  and Angel.  15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Steven and Freddie; and one sister, Vickie (Joe) Chacon.

A Funeral Service will be held at Ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  At his request, cremation will follow.
