Amanda Marie Rodriguez

Amanda Marie Rodriguez, 34, of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, May 6th 2022 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX.

Visitation will take place at five o'clock in the evening on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Baca's Funeral Chapel in Silver City, New Mexico. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary led by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga will follow at six o'clock. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Amanda at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Silver City, New Mexico. Officiating is Father Oliver Obele.

Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Ruben Rodriguez III, Victoria Rose Rodriguez, Ismeray Rodriguez, Sophia Rodriguez, Leilani Rodriguez, Nathaniel Rodriguez, Savannah Sierra, Kaileene Sierra, Willie Sierra Jr., Vanessa Montenegro, Daisha Montenegro, Martin Montenegro, Christopher Palomarez, and Jordan Hernandez.

Amanda was born August 24, 1987 in Silver City, NM to Allan Rodriguez and Socorro Orosco Sierra. Amanda loved arts and crafts, being outdoors, and taking family vacations. In 2005, Amanda graduated from Silver High School and continued working. She then got married in 2015 to Joseph Ruben Rodriguez Jr. They have their two loving children, Victoria Rose and Joseph Ruben III. Amanda and Joseph are each other’s life-long companions, regardless of her passing. Amanda was a jack-of-all-trades, but loved being a sales representative. She enjoyed arts and crafts with her Cricut and doing outdoor activities.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Joseph Ruben Jr. of North Hurley, NM and her two loving children, Victoria Rose and Joseph Ruben III. She is also survived by her father, Allan A. Rodriguez of Silver City, NM and mother, Socorro O. Sierra (Willie Sierra Jr.) of Silver City, NM; sister, Vanessa Montenegro (Martin); niece, Daisha Montenegro (Israel “Izzy” Jaurequi); and godson/nephew Martin “bean” Montenegro; brother, Nathaniel A. Rodriguez (Vanessa) and niece, Ismeray  Monique of Albuquerque, NM; cousin, Jordan Hernandez (Matthew Alderette) and daughter JaiAna Alderette of Silver City, NM; ‘in-laws’, Ruben and Theresa Rodriguez of North Hurley NM; sister-n-law, Angela Palomarez (Christopher), niece Sophia Rodriguez and nephew Christopher Palomarez Jr; sister-in-law, Marissa Rodriguez (Robert Clark) and niece, Leilani Rodriguez. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Amanda will especially be remembered for her smile, spirit and big heart. She always was the first to want to help anyone in need.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Rogelio and Maxine Rodriguez; aunt, Elaine Flores; grandma, Lorenza Portillo; grandma, Margaret Portillo; uncle, Miguel Hernandez; uncle, Lorenzo Orosco and aunt, Theresa Orosco Flores.
