Barbara Ann Sloas

BARBARA ANN SLOAS, 67, resident of Deming passed away Sunday February 9, 2025 at Mimbres Memorial Nursing Home.

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon February 13, 2025 from 12 to 2:30 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel.  A graveside service will follow at Mt. View Cemetery at 3 o’clock with Pastor Steven Sykes officiating.

Barbara was born March 8, 1957 in West Helena, Arkansas to Troy and Claris (Stracener) Sloas.  She has been a resident of Deming since 1994 having moved here from California where she had worked in the farming industry.  Barbara enjoyed playing word games, puzzles and cards.  She especially enjoyed being with her family and the kids.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene Sloas of Deming; sisters Shirley Sloas/Rasberry of Deming and Linda Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Claris Sloas, infant brother Charles Sloas and sister Evelyn DeLaney.

Pallbearers will be Chris Rasberry, Brian Brown, Darryl Brown, Kristy Rasberry, Adriana Beltran and Matthew Sloas.  Honorary bearers are Cooper Lang and her nieces and nephews.
