Carlos Correa, a longtime resident of Silver City, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on December 27, 1937, Carlos was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Cremation has taken place. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at nine o’clock in the morning on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Silver City. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at nine-thirty. Father Oliver Obele will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.

His nephew, Angel Arzola, will be an Honorary Pallbearer.

Carlos is survived by his daughters Carla (Ron) Marquez and Catherine Abellera; his sons Jose (Melissa) Correa and Edward (Crystal) Correa. Carlos was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Andrea, Joshua (Raquel), Jacob (Dilyne), Kaeden (Noel), Javier, Raquel, Cheyenne, Carlos, and Mila. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Isai, DJ, Jeremiah, Joshua (JJ), Adriel, Hezekiah, Beau, and Eastyn.

Carlos will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strength of spirit, and the warmth he shared with everyone who knew him. Carlos was proceeded in death by Olga Ramirez Correa, wife of 58 years and granddaughter Cierra Maya Abellera.
