Claudio Alejandro Barraza, 27, lifelong resident of Deming passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at University Medical Center in El Paso, TX.
Visitation will begin Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4 to 6 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the holy rosary will be recited at 6 with Irma Jaurequi reciting. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Jesus Martinez will officiate.
Claudio A. Barraza was born March 21, 1994 in Deming to Claudio and Veronica Barraza. He grew up in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, MX until he was 6 years old then moved to Deming in 2000. His family will remember him as a loving and hardworking man. One of his passions was being a truck driver and enjoyed going to the gym, playing baseball, and being a father.
He is survived by his daughter, Kamila Barraza of Deming; his parents, Claudio and Veronica Barraza of Deming; a sister, Daniela (Marco) Valencia and their children, Kate and Valentina Valencia of Tucson, AZ; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Claudio is preceded in death by his grandmother, Fransica Trevizo; an aunt, Christina Barraza, and two cousins, Ana C. Barraza and Abdel Chacon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Esparza, Miguel Samaniego, Justin and Jorge Chacon, Sergio, Gregorio and Jorge Barraza.
