Clorinda Smith Obituary

Clorinda Smith, 83, Deming resident passed away Monday June 21, 2021 at Mimbres Memorial Nursing Home.

No service will take place as were her wishes. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Clorinda was born October 5, 1937 to Atala Contreras and Antonio Pacheco in Tolleson, Arizona. She married the love of her life, Phillip R. Smith November 2, 1995 in Oak Harbor, Washington. Together they made Deming their home moving here from Tucson, Arizona. Her greatest passion was cooking, publishing her own cookbook “Easy Mexican Recipes”.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Phillip R. Smith of the home; son, Richard; step-daughter, Sandra Lee; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Jenny.
