Daniel Murillo Obituary

Daniel Brian Murillo, 22, of Silver City passed away, November 20, 2020 in El Paso.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6 pm on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Cross Point Church, 11600 Highway 180 E. in Silver City, recited by Deacon Bill Holguin.  The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 am on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with Father Oliver Obele officiating.  The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery.   Serving as casket bearers will be Randy Murillo, Dadan Placencio, Michael Madrid, Anjuli Placencio, Danny Placencio and Ben Placencio.  Honorary bearers will be Edmund Madrid, Eric Madrid, Aaron Madrid, Arthur Ortiz, Lance Wiseman, Mike Ybarra, Jake Chacon and Andy Leyba.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 25% of the capacity of the building will be allowed, masks must be worn and social distancing will apply.

Daniel was born December 2, 1997 in Silver City to Alan Murillo and Connie Chavez.  Daniel was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.  When he wasn’t spending time doing that, he would spend time gaming and skateboarding, which he was very talented at. Daniel was also known for his cooking and being a very likeable person.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Daniel is survived by his father, Alan Murillo; his mother, Connie Chavez (Jason Bray); his companion, Lorraine Wood; brothers, Arthur Ortiz and Ryan Gonzalez; sisters, Selina Ortiz and Mary Murillo;  Paternal grandparents, Benny and Tillie Placencio; Paternal Step-Grandmother Mother, Janet Perrault-Madrid; Maternal Grandfather, Will Chavez; niece and nephew, Trinity and Patrick Ferrell; Uncles, Randy Murillo, Dadan Placencio, Edmund Madrid,  Eric Madrid, Aaron Madrid, Michael Madrid, Ben Placencio, Danny Placencio, Arthur Gomez, Chapo Chavez, Joey Portillo, Richard Portillo; aunts, Anjuli Placencio, Bambi Swapp, Virginia Ponce, and Maria Arellano.  Also surviving are many cousins and extended family.  Daniel was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Inocencia Murillo; grandfather, Ralph Murillo; uncle Danny Gomez, and maternal grandmother, Jenny Austin.
