David F Marquez

David F. Marquez, 75, of Silver City passed away, February 5, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.

At David’s request cremation has taken place and memorial funeral service will take place at a later date to be announced.

David was born July 8, 1944 in Silver City to Louisa Marquez and James Robertson.  David had served his country honorably in the United States Navy.  Upon his return he worked and retired from General Motors, working on the assembly line.  He had recently relocated to Silver City about two years ago coming from Santa Fe Springs, CA.

David is survived by his caregiver and mother of his children, Lydia; son, Jason Marquez; daughters, Renee Arellano (Jesus), Paula Benavidez (Sikey), and Denise Holbrook; brothers, Robert Hernandez, Tommy Robertson, and James “Bubba” Robertson; step-brother, Tony Chavez; sister, Debbie Robertson.  Grandchildren, Daniel Marquez, David Osuna, Aaron Arellano, Joseph Marquez, Christina Osuna, Angelica Arellano, and Danielle Benavidez.  Great grand-daughters, Jayla Gallegos and Esmia Osuna.  David was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Louisa Marquez and Louis Hernandez; his father and step-mother, James and Lucy Robertson; two brothers, Rudy Marquez and Ernest Hernandez.
