Delfina C. Trujillo, 84, of Silver City passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at her residence.
Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Prayer Vigil and Rosary will take place on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Six o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Officiating will be Deacon Bill Holguin. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at ten o’clock in the morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in T or C. Burial will follow where she will be laid to rest by her husband, Alejandro at Hot Springs Cemetery.
Delfina was born on September 4, 1936 to Esquipula Chavez and Clara Armijo in Truth or Consequences. She was the eldest girl of ten children and at an early age she took over as a mom, when her mom passed away at an early age. In 1974, Delfina moved from T or C to Silver City and was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she was a bingo manager and money counter. Delfina was also a member of the Grant County Federated Republican Women.
Delfina is survived by two sons, Marcos Trujillo (Jacque Reano) and Steven Trujillo (Selena Jaurequi); three daughters, Yolanda Marrufo (Chris), Barbara Torres (Benito), Cristina Miller (Dan); brothers, Ernesto, Richard and Leon Chavez; sisters, Alice Lauer and Marcella Chavez; 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro J. Trujillo; parents, Esquipula and Clarita Chavez; brother, Isabel Chavez; sisters, Margaret Chavez and Louisa Weiss.
