Dena Sue (Williams) Board

Dena Sue (Williams) Board, 52, of Deming, NM, passed away on Monday, November 10 ,2025 in Deming surrounded by her two children.

Dena was born May 21,1973, in Deming, NM to Dean Williams and Jacki Benedict. She graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock, TX in 1991, where she then proceeded to get her degree in Accounts Payable and graduated from International Business College (IBC) in 1999. In 1993 she had her daughter, Shayla. In 2004, she married and became the bonus mom to four other children. In 2007 she welcomed her son, Stetson into the world. She dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom and wife for 10 years. During that time, she did have short employment at Stripes Convenient Store. In 2012 Dena moved back to Deming, NM to be closer to her mother. She began working at Tractor Supply and really started making her way into the community. In 2015, she began working at Deming Mimbres Memorial Hospital, in Accounts Payable- Payroll. In 2017, she reconnected with an old friend from younger years and went on to marry him, (Dennis Wayne Board) on January 19, 2019. Since 2017, she dedicated her time not only just to work, her mom, her children, and her grandchildren but to Dennis as well. Throughout the years, she spent time working, taking care of her mom, playing with her grandchildren, playing cards and being as social as she could with others around her. Dena was a one-of-a-kind soul. She loved everyone and she loved with her whole heart. She never met a stranger. She is loved and will be deeply missed by all.

Dena is survived by her mother; Jacki Williams of Deming, NM; her husband, Dennis Board of Deming, NM; her two brothers, Levi Noguess (Juli) of Belton, TX and Jamie Noguess (Michele) of Deming, NM; a sister; Corie Coffey (Patrick) of Lubbock, TX; her daughter, Shayla Williams and son, Stetson Holmes of Deming, NM; her daughters, Alexis and Katlyn Holmes of Lubbock, TX; her son, Scott Holmes Jr. of Lubbock, TX; her bonus daughter, Kelsey Birdsong (Chris) of Lubbock, TX; her grandchildren, Megan, Cierra, Logan, Kaziah, Amara, Carter, Sydney and Mya; her godmother, Ava Jo Hensley. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Dena is preceded in death by her grandmother, Marguerite Benedict; her son, Mark Holmes; her father, Dean Williams, as well as her godfather, Lonnie Hensley.

Services for Dena will be held at the First United Methodist Church (1020 S. Granite St, Deming, NM 88030) on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. There will be a lunch immediately following at La Fonda, everyone is invited to join. Compliments of a dear family friend, Barbara Fudge. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Serving as Dena’s honorary pallbearers will be Stetson Holmes, Scott Holmes Jr., Bobby Evans, Jeff Lane, Abram Rempel, and James Noguess Jr.
