Dolores Y. Hernandez, 70, of Silver City passed away at her home on Thursday, April 21, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation for Dolores will take place at one-thirty in the afternoon on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels in Silver City, New Mexico. The Funeral Liturgy will follow at two o’clock in the afternoon. Officiating is Deacon Bill Holguin. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place following her services.
Honorary Pallbearers are her sons and her brothers.
Dolores was born on April 11, 1952 in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Robert Torres and Andrea (Trujillo) Young.
Dolores was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and ‘in-law’. She was loved by many and was also a mother to many. Dolores was primarily a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a great cook, baker, and always loved to laugh. Dolores was a lifelong member of the Catholic church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon C. Hernandez of the home; five sons, Vicente and Benjamin Hernandez of the family home, Ramon and Gilbert Hernandez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Eric Hernandez (Kelly) of Huntsville, Alabama; two daughters, Anabell Chacon (Michael) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Vanessa D. Goins of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Robert T. Young (Birdie) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her favorite uncle, Joe Trujillo; her grandson, Nickolas, ‘Panzon’; eight more grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Robert T. and Andrea L. Young.
