Dorothy Imogene Ferguson

DOROTHY IMOGENE FERGUSON, 92, resident of Deming passed away Monday May 30, 2022 at Willow Manor.

A memorial service will be Thursday June 30, 2022 at 10 o’clock in the morning at the First Christian Church with Pastor Darrell L. Witmer officiating.  Cremation has taken place at Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Dorothy was born March 31, 1930 in Womack, Missouri to Paul and Verda (Womack) Lenz. Dorothy was joined in marriage to Jack Ferguson in 1962. She had worked with Montgomery Ward as a buyer until her retirement. Dorothy has been a resident of Deming since 1988 and locally was very active with The First Christian Church.  Being a member of the church for over 30 years she was involved with the Bible Club Precious Jewels, the annual Church Camp in the Mimbres and keeping the church bulletin board updated.  She had a special interest in the youth of the church and enjoyed every opportunity to help and work with them.

She is survived by several cousins and her church family.  Her husband Jack J. Ferguson preceded her in death in 2002.
