Douglas Wayne Taylor “Doug” was called to go home to the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021. My beloved son will be missed.

Services for Doug will start 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Valley Community Church, 19 Racetrack Rd, Arenas Valley, N.M. Pastor Nancy Curtis will be officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.

Doug was born on May 29, 1967 here in Silver City, N.M. He grew up in Silver City and graduated from Silver High School. The following year he joined the United States Navy. After serving a two-year tour, he came home. He soon was married and had two children. Doug moved to Tucson, Az in his later years and called home. He loved cooking and he continued being a chief. It was in Tucson where he met his fiancé, Mary Brecht. They were together for fourteen years. Two years ago, Doug and Mary decided to move back to help take care of his loving mother, Donna Taylor. Doug’s favorite times were going fishing with his friends. When hunting seasons opened, he made sure to take time to go hunting.
