Efrain Hidalgo

Efrain Hidalgo, 36, a resident of Phoenix, AZ and formerly of Deming, NM passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ.

A viewing for Efrain will begin Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 5 to 6 o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapel where the holy rosary is set to be recited at 6 by Maria Lozano. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:30 in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church followed by the rite of committal and interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Tony Basso will be officiating.

Efrain was born December 21, 1988 in Deming, NM to Efrain Hidalgo and Bertha Moncada. He enjoyed riding his bike, listening to music, and dancing. He was always very happy and loved being silly and joking around with his friends and family. Efrain was a very hard worker; he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and enjoyed helping many people with their yard work. Of all people he helped, his mother Bertha was the one he helped the most. He loved her dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Bertha Moncada; a sister, Yexenia Hidalgo (Raul Franco) and his niece and nephew, Monica and Jordan.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Moncada, Adolfo Moncada, Miguel Barrera, Agustin Reyes, Marco Moncada and Manuel Ordaz.
