Enrique Miguel de la Vega

Enrique Miguel de la Vega, 90, of Silver City passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2025.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.  Father Oliver Obele will officiate.  Military honors will be accorded.

“Hank” as he was affectionately known, was born June 13, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to Enrique and Eileen de la Vega.  He had served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.  Upon his return, he was a well-known artist and sculptor with many of his works throughout the United States.  Hank was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was an Honorary Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years.

Hank is survived by his wife, Darleene; six children, Leonor de la Vega-Guy (James Guy) of California, Rocky de la Vega of Albuquerque, NM, Lisa Marie de la Vega of California, Michael de la Vega of California, Christopher de la Vega (Alie Baxter) of London, England and Nicholas de la Vega (Denisa de la Vega) and their children Suki and Lou-Lou of London, England.
