Erica Palomarez Zamora

Erica Palomarez Zamora, 39, of Arenas Valley, N.M. passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Grant County, N.M.

Erica was born on September 25, 1982 in Silver City, N.M. to Pedro and Magdalena Palomarez.  She was raised in Bayard, N.M. attended Cobre Schools, worked at South West Concrete and Paving, and at Fort Bayard Medical Center.  Erica was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and a woman of God and faith.  She was one of the most selfless, kindest, and generous people you could have ever met.  Erica was the type of person to give you everything she had, even though she stayed with nothing.  She made an impact on so many of people’s lives that came in contact with her.  Erica had a love for people with a lot of compassion, very empathetic, and always joyful, she had a way with her words that touched people's lives. She loved her animals, crafting, cooking, music and being with her family and friends.  Erica’s family feels very blessed to have had the time, love and memories to cherish forever.  She is definitely a beautiful soul and will be greatly missed for eternity.

Erica is survived by her mother, Magdalena Palomarez of Bayard, N.M.; two sisters, Veronica Flores and husband, Jesus Gonzales of Santa Fe, Adriana and husband, Raul Escobar of Bayard; one brother, Pedro (Louie) Palomarez of Bayard, N.M.; two nephews, Jesus and wife Ashley Gonzales of Santa Fe, N.M. and Raul Escobar of Bayard, N.M.; two nieces, Yesenia Gonzales of Santa Fe, N.M. and Andrea Escobar of Bayard, N.M.  She was preceded in death by her child Baby Angel and her father Pedro Palomarez.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels – Silver City, N.M.  Per Erica’s wishes, a private service will take place.
