Esther Sanchez Guerrero, 71, of Silver City, NM peacefully passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 in Horizon City, TX surrounded by her son, daughter in law and loved ones.
Esther Guerrero was born on December 17, 1949, in Santa Rita, NM to David and Rita Sanchez. Esther loved being in the kitchen and cooking for friends and family. She was known for her specialties: Stuffed Sopapillas, Cream Puffs and her Fried Chicken. Esther loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren truly lit up her life. Her love grew even stronger as her great-grand children were born. She enjoyed spending time with her three favorite friends Belinda, Velia, and Fina. When Esther could find time to herself, she loved to sit down and read. Esther retired from Gila Regional Medical Center after 18 years of service.
Esther is survived by her son Reyni and his wife Eva of El Paso, three brothers: Ruben (Chun), Sammy (Sylvia), and David (Gabby), one sister Linda (Sam), six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Esther is proceeded in death by her sister, Gloria Castillo, her mother Rita Sanchez, and her father David Sanchez Sr.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels. A visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 12 p.m. with Deacon Bill Holguin officiating. Concluding services and burial will take place following the Rosary at Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
