Eusebio Ortega

Eusebio Ortega, 73, Deming resident passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home.

Visitation will begin at nine o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic church with the recitation of the holy rosary to follow at ten-thirty led by Irma Jaurequi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at eleven o’clock with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Manuel F. Ibarra, Pastor will officiate.

Eusebio was born December 17, 1946 in Las Cruces, Chih, Mexico to Macario Ortega and Carmen Sanchez. He was a laborer for more many farms helping with their crops during the seasons. Eusebio married, Maria Garcia and together they raised their three children, Faustino, Carmen and Jesus Manuel Ortega. They moved to Deming in 1999 from Columbus. During his spare time, he enjoyed staying busy fixing and working on projects around the house. He was a jack of all trades. As well as spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Maria of the home; 2 children, Jesus Manuel (Perla) Ortega of Pauls Valley, OK and Carmen (Manuel Almanza) Ortega of Deming; 5 brothers and 11 sisters, as well as 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Macario and Carmen Ortega, son Faustino Ortega and 5 other siblings.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesus, Michael-Angel and Axel Ortega, Martin and Fabian Perea and Usiel Barrere.
