Frank Arroyos Duarte, 81, surrounded by his loving family, went to the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Born to Manuel and Angelita Duarte, he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dora Duarte and their 3 children, Doris Duarte, Tony Duarte and Frank Duarte Jr. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Patches; siblings, Manuel Duarte, Maggie Snow, Lupe Casares (Edmundo), Joe Duarte, David Duarte (Lupe), and Mary Lou Basaldua (Joe).
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Angelita Duarte; and siblings, Pete Duarte and Sally Cardoza.
He was raised in Silver City, married Dora Casares in 1962, moved to California for 50 years and retired from the city of Santa Ana after 35 years. He then returned home to Silver City. He liked hunting, fishing and taking Patches out for truck rides. Now he's in the loving hands of God.
You will be dearly missed
Visitation will be held at five o’clock in the evening on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary led by Carmen Terrazas will begin at six o’clock. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father Oliver Obele will officiate. Per Frank’s wishes, cremation will follow the Mass. Concluding services and inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California.
Pallbearers will be Junior Rodriguez, Deziray Rodriguez, Tony Duarte, Junior Duarte Jr, Manuel Duarte, Josh Duarte, Jennifer Jordan and Jose Quezada.
