Veva was born October 10, 1963 in Deming, NM to Manuel Luera and Bertha Esquivel. Veva was very loving, caring, and compassionate human to all. She was very resilient, selfless, strong-willed and was always available to lend a helping hand to many and always put others around her first before herself. Veva never looked at the bad in others but always the good in them. She did a lot gracefully for her family and many friends and was always ready to brighten up your day. You could also say she was the life of the party and was always ready to sing and dance! Veva was employed at Sonic for many years and loved her job. She was a very hard worker and always put pride into her work. Veva was a very good cook and loved to make enchiladas and tacos for her family, that was her go to meal. She also enjoyed puzzles, collecting elephants and baby Yoda’s, and loved the color green. But like many, she loved and adored her family and especially her grandchildren the most. Veva will be greatly missed by the many people she touched in her life.
Survivors include her mother, Bertha Gonzales; her children, Joaquin Angel, Miguel Luera-Chavez, Mandy Luera, and Raelynn (Jose) Flores; a brother, Manuel (Carmie) Luera; 2 sisters, Birdie (Bobby) Young and Paula Martinez. As well as her 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Luera and her 2 children, Andrea Chavez and Juanito Angel.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Jimenez, Daniel Jimenez, Gabriel Jimenez, Richard Taylor, Isaac Young, and Martin Serna.
Honorary Bearers will be Gilbert Contreras Jr., and Miguel Luera-Chavez.
