Gilbert M. Jauriqui, 52, of Hurley passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Gila Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will take place on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 12:00pm at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Concluding services and burial with follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with Military Honors at 1pm. Officiating will be Deacon Bill Holguin. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Benavidez, Gabriel Benavidez, Ricardo De La Torre, Ricardo De La Torre Jr, Charles Cook, David Terrazas and many other family members and friends.
Gilbert was born on August 1, 1967 to Cecilio P. Jauriqui and Helen M. Munoz in Silver City. He enjoyed watching sports but he was a huge fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. He would defend his team no matter what they did. He worked at Gila Regional Medical Center as a Bio-medical technician for 25 years. Gilbert will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jauriqui; children, Jesus Aguilera (Alicia), Alejandra Arikan (Amber); brother, Cecilio Jauriqui (Belinda); sisters, Sara Jauriqui, Juanita Cook (George), Rita Alvarez.
