Guadalupe "Lupe" Sanchez Sedillos

Guadalupe Sanchez Sedillos, 93, of Santa Clara passed away September 12, 2024 at Fort Bayard Medical Center surrounded by her family. 

“Lupe” as she was fondly known, was born January 19, 1931 in Fierro, New Mexico to Jose and Manuela Sanchez. 

At Lupe’s request cremation has taken place.  Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10 am on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard.  The Funeral Liturgy will follow immediately thereafter.  Concluding service and inurnment will follow at the Fierro Cemetery where she will laid to rest with her husband, Tommy.  Officiating will be Father Martin Okonkwo.

Lupe is survived by her daughters, Olga (Jose) Ray and Irma (Ronald) Mitcham; sons, Edward (Kathy) Sedillos and Miguel (Lorraine) Juarez.  She is also survived by grandchildren: Jason (Sarah) Ray, Sonia Ray, Jonathan (Ashley) Luna, and Michaela Marquez, and Estrella, Bubba and Lorrie Juarez and Eric Sanchez; many great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and a special friend Belia Coleman.   She was preceded I death by her husband, Tommy; great granddaughter, Gabriele Ray; grandson, Jose Ray III; great grandson, Benji Luna and many other family members.
